DOG SHOWS

PLEASE MIND
Entry into shows.
The dogs
in process of registration older than 6 months will no more be allowed into the shows and their entry must be refused.
According
to the S.C.C.: "The registrations into the Book of French Origins (LOF) are made from day to day so there is no more any reason to allow
a puppy older than with the mention "in process of registration", "LOF in process", "SCC file in process", etc...".

Let’s learn (almost) everything about dog shows…

The shows are classified according to the prizes awarded :
• The NATIONAL SHOWS, nearly a hundred every year, allow – in agreement with the French Kennel Club (S.C.C.) – the award of the C.A.C.S. to the best adult dog and the best adult bitch between the open, working and intermediate classes.
• The INTERNATIONAL SHOWS supported by the International Cynological Federation (F.C.I.), some thirty organised every year in France, allow the award of the C.A.C.I.B., which opens the door to a possible International Beauty Champion.
• The « BREED SPECIALTY SHOWS , in collaboration with the breed clubs concerned, attract a more important competition than the regular shows, particularly if a breed specialist judge is invited (French or from abroad), which grants more value to the event as selection is concerned.
• The CLUB BREED SHOWS (N.E.) organised exclusively by the breed clubs, allow to strike the balance for selection in putting forward the most typical dogs, and to valorise the best breeding stock. The C.A.C.S. awarded to the winner (dog and bitch) permits the subsequent ratification of a French Champion Title (of conformity with the Standard).
• The FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIP, organised by the Kennel Club (S.C.C.) is the most important championship show in France. The event attracts more than 6000 dogs during two or three consecutive days and the competition is of international level with an important participation from abroad.
RATIFICATION
of the FRENCH CHAMPION TITLE
(CONFORMITY with the STANDARD
To require the title, the dog must cumulate :
a) either the C.A.C.S. of the French Championship Show or the C.A.C.S. of the Club Breed Show (N.E.) ;
b) one C.A.C.S. of a Breed Specialty Show ;
c) one C.A.C.S. of an international show ;
d) The successful passing of the Character Test organised by R.A.L.I.E. or a TAN or a CSAU.
The C.A.C.S. b) and c) must be obtained not later than two years after the championship show.
The C.A.C.S. must be won under three different judges one of whom should be a French judge.
Please mind !
The delay allowed to present the request for ratification of the French Champion Title is limited to 2 months after the obtaining of the latest award. After that, the file will be declared foreclosed and the holder of the reserve C.A.C.S. having championship value may request the ratification of the champion title. If the holder of the C.A.C.S. of the French Championship Show or the Club Breed Show could not ratify his title within the 2 years, the titular of the R.C.A.C.S. has (1) year to get the French Champion Title ratified.
The Committee
of the French Kennel Club has decided that the requests for validation of the French Champion title should be checked
and transmitted to the FKC by the respective breed clubs. (for IWH and Dh to the Chairman of R.A.L.I.E.).
The club is allowed one month’s time after reception of the documents to forward them to the FKC.
This measure enters into force at 1st November 2006.
